Exercising But No Weight Loss?

I’ve been exercising for over a month and eating right and I’ve only lost half a pound. I read some other questions on here and it’s probably because I’m gaining muscle so the scale stays the same and that’s all well and good but how long before I start actually losing weight? I’m losing motivation.
