I already diet, and I’ve lost about 6 pounds, but I know without exercising my weight loss will be hindered. The injuries are in my knee, neck and tailbone.

That’s really hard to say since those injuries occur across the full scope of your body. To continue losing weight, an even more significant diet change is recommended. Of course, this can easily become unhealthy, so proceeed with caution. Depending on your knee injury, I would suggest walking for an hour or so a day. There are plenty of benefits with that, including weightloss. Yoga is another more alternative source for weight loss. It helps the body function better as a whole and with more, shall I say, coherence and efficiency and aids in the loss of weight. Water aerobics is a good idea, since it greatly reduces your weight and the amount of stress and tension put on joints. Other than that, I can’t think of much other advice other than to simply maintain your current weight and wait until your body heals to continue your normal routine.

What you really don’t want to do is make matters worse and be out of commission longer, so take it veeerrryy easy.
You need to talk to a trained sports therapist. I’d say you could possibly swim, but… I don’t know eactly what state you are in.

try useing glucosimine and msm to help rebuild your injuries. this will help rebuild your joints all over your body. As far as the exercising part, as long as you can walk you will be able to lose weight as long as you are eating right, like organic foods. Also try keeping your system clean by cleanseing it. Meaning doing a full system cleanse by useing things like (renew life) i am sure you can find it where you live and by looking it up on the internet and finding out all the facts on what’s best for you. Also don’t eat just 3 meals a day. Start your day with a big breakfast things like total ceral and things like that. And then have 5 little meals spaced out threw out the day and for your 6th meal have something senceible and drink nothing but water. Means no pop or coffee and thing’s like that. Go for walk’s all the time. Walk everywhere if you can. good luck and give this a try. If you want to write back and keep in touch send an email at jackarse0069@yahoo.com

Did he tell you not to exercise….or just not to continue with the type of exercise that you were doing? Check about doing some swimming or water aerobics.

lol I agree with nick! I lost a ton of weight on that sh!t… but trust me it all comes back once you stop using…
I’m sure the ban on exercising is only temporary, I hurt my leg a few months ago, and couldn’t work out for a few weeks, so it’s probably only temporary. Maybe try going to physio, that helped a lot with my recovery and than you can get back to exercising quicker!

You have to take in less calories than you burn. I know you said you hate to exercise, but there are things you can do that won’t seem like much exercise once you make the habit. Obviously, watch your food intake and drink more water. If you feel hungry, drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes. If it goes away, you were really thirsty rather than hungry. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, park farther away. If you have a home with stairs, make excuses to go up and down them. If you have a lot of groceries, make more trips to take them in the house. Small steps add up to burned calories. Start small. Take a walk around your block. Then do it again tomorrow. Then add a block, and so on. You will find that you look forward to those times to get some fresh air and clear your mind. Hope it helps.

Swimming is good. But if you cannot exercise at all then I would really resrict the calories… Honestly, that’s the key… Less calories.
